Bike Packing in the Alps with Friends: A Memorable Experience

Bike Packing in the Alps with Friends: A Memorable Experience

So what did we do in our summer break?

Let's tell a little story about it.

Before there was GREPP, Jan was embarking with a group of friends on thrilling bike packing adventures. Some bigger and some smaller.

The riders called themselves "members of the Pizza Cycle Club - P.C.C." . Jan and his old friends Alex and Johannes arranged their schedules again and where heading out for a little bike ride. The trio decided to challenge themselves by riding on old 26" mountain bikes that Alex had meticulously built just for this trip.

What did they encounter on their journey?

Their route took them through a dense forest, where they encountered knee-deep mud in a logging area. Despite the challenging terrain and occasional rain showers, the group's spirits remained high as they pedaled through missing trails and tackled steep climbs. We will shorten the story at this point and let us been carry away by some photos from the trip instead of reading a long text about it.

How did everything go?

The trio went from Austria to Slovenia, to Italy and back to Austria climbing up the mighty Grossglockner mountain pass. Thwey covered 486 km, 9153m of vertical meters in 4 days.

If they must caption this trip it might probably be something like "don't forget to stop and enjoy".

The End......
